Medical Student Education
Medical students at the UA College of Medicine – Tucson gain exposure to work being done by the Boyer Liver Institute from clinical and educational experiences offered through the UA Department of Medicine and the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Residents gain exposure to work being done by the Boyer Liver Institute through the general internal medicine residency rotation for the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Gastroenterology Fellowship Program fellows through the UA Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology must complete an intensive one-month rotation on clinical hepatology where they participate in the care of patients suffering from various liver conditions, including hepatitis, cirrhosis, end-stage liver disease and pre- and post-operative transplant services.
Where We Teach and Train
In conjunction with The University of Arizona College of Medicine, we train and teach at Banner University Medical Center - Tucson main campus, South campus and North campus, as well as the Southern Arizona VA.
