Dr. Block joined the faculty at the UA Thomas D. Boyer Liver Institute in November 2019 as Clinical Professor of Medicine and Medical Director of Liver Transplant.  Dr. Block is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Transplant Hepatology. He completed fellowship programs in Chronic Disease Epidemiology and Pediatric Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Therapeutic and Interventional Endoscopy, Hepatology, Transplant Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Aerospace Medicine.  Prior to Tucson, Dr. Block served as Chief of GI/Hepatology and Director of Therapeutic Endoscopy at Eisenhower Medical Center in Riverside, CA. Dr. Block conducts clinical research, has multiple patents and research publications in peer-reviewed journals, and has started three biotechnology companies.
